Quotes
"This event brings in some of the best barbecue and the best bourbon from across the Southeast. This isn’t a pig-picking. This isn’t a wine tasting. This is a festival for those who want a new and one-of-its-kind experience.” – Tammy Johnson, CEO of High Spirits Events
"I had such a great time at Ho & Barrel last time. The food was delicious, the drinks were incredible, and I can't wait to see what this year has in store." – Liz W., "My team loves doing all the events that High Spirits has to offer. We get to hang out with great people, sling some fun cocktails, and serve our award-winning food to new customers. Plus, it's always a perk if we win cash for bringing the best dish! There is no better to way to market our restaurant." -Stephen Gossett, Social Latitude |
More Information
Who Does This Event Support?
We are thrilled to partner with The Culinary Institute of the Carolinas at Greenville Technical College for this event. This important school provides students with basic food knowledge and culinary techniques for classical and current trends. All courses are built from a foundation of competencies required for American Culinary Federation Education Foundation Accrediting Commission (ACFEFAC) accreditation, which means their program stays current with industry expectations. We are committed to raising $10,000 annually for their scholarship and equipment fund through our events.
How We Support Our Restaurants
We know that restaurants are hurting right now after Hurrican Helene, but we also know they love a great food competition! Not only do we give away almost $5,000 in CASH prizes for the best dishes and cocktails, but we also provide each restaurant with a stipend to help offset their food costs. In fact, we will be giving out more than $20,000 in stipends for this festival. Through our partnership with Greenville Tech we can also offer them the assistance of a culinary student, so they can help save on labor. Through our success with Tacos 'n Tequila Fiesta, we have created a strong relationship with dozens of the area's chefs and bartenders. They love the high energy and competitiveness of our events, as well as the hospitality we treat them to.
